The Israel ruling class is now at the point where the reactionary perspective of securing an exclusivist Jewish state through the forcible expulsion of the Palestinians can only be maintained by mass murder and ethnic cleansing. Netanyahu has pledged to reduce the 43-kilometre-long and 10-kilometre-wide Gaza strip to “rubble,” and tells its captive population to “get out of the way,” knowing they cannot.
